Principal Reliability Engineer

We are hiring a Principal Reliability Engineer to join our mechanical engineering team in Fresno. You will set technical direction on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Fresno location.
What you’ll do
- Develop reliability-centered maintenance strategies for critical equipment
- Track and report on equipment availability and mean time between failures
- Run predictive maintenance programs (vibration, thermography, oil analysis)
- Improve preventive maintenance plans in the CMMS
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Data analysis skills
- Experience with a CMMS such as SAP PM or Maximo
- Experience in an industrial maintenance or reliability role
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- CMRP certification
- Vibration analyst certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Fresno, CA is $100 – $123 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
