We are hiring a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our civil engineering team in Anaheim. You will set technical direction on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Anaheim office.
What you’ll do
- Write geotechnical reports with design recommendations
- Analyze foundations, retaining walls and slope stability
- Plan and oversee subsurface explorations and laboratory testing
- Coordinate drilling subcontractors and field staff
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong soil mechanics fundamentals
- Experience writing geotechnical reports
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE license
- Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $152,000 – $194,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
