Our Jacksonville office is growing, and we need a Principal Environmental Engineer who can set technical direction from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative environmental engineering group and report to the environmental engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Jacksonville location.
What you’ll do
- Prepare air, water and waste permit applications
- Collect and interpret soil, groundwater and air samples
- Advise clients on environmental regulations
- Plan and run site investigations and remediation projects
- Write compliance reports for state and federal agencies
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong technical writing
- Knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulations
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER (or able to obtain)
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE license
- Experience with PFAS investigation or treatment
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $115,000 – $146,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
