As a Principal Civil Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in San Antonio, TX. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our San Antonio location.
What you’ll do
- Support construction administration, including submittal review and site visits
- Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
- Prepare stormwater reports and calculations
- Coordinate with municipal reviewers and secure permits
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Working knowledge of local and state design standards
- Strong technical writing skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
- Experience with HEC-RAS or SWMM
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Antonio, TX is $127,000 – $162,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
