We are hiring a Principal Civil Engineer to join our civil engineering team in Moreno Valley. You will set technical direction on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Moreno Valley location.
What you’ll do
- Prepare site, grading, utility and drainage designs for land development projects
- Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
- Support construction administration, including submittal review and site visits
- Prepare stormwater reports and calculations
- Coordinate with municipal reviewers and secure permits
- Produce construction drawings and specifications in Civil 3D
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to manage several projects at once
- Strong technical writing skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with HEC-RAS or SWMM
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Moreno Valley, CA is $145,000 – $185,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
