We are hiring a Principal Chemical Engineer to join our chemical engineering team in Round Rock. You will set technical direction on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Round Rock office.
What you’ll do
- Simulate processes in Aspen Plus
- Design and scale up chemical processes from pilot to production
- Support capital projects through commissioning
- Take part in process hazard analyses
- Size equipment and prepare process design packages
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with process simulation software
- Understanding of process safety
- Knowledge of separations and reaction engineering
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE license
- Pilot plant experience
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Round Rock, TX is $138,000 – $176,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
