The employer is looking for a Power Systems Engineer in North Charleston, SC. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced electrical & computer engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our North Charleston location.
What you’ll do
- Develop relay settings and coordination studies
- Design substation, distribution and protection systems
- Perform load flow, short circuit and arc flash studies
- Prepare drawings and specifications for utility projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Understanding of NEC, IEEE and NERC standards
- Knowledge of protective relaying
Nice to have
- PE license
- Experience with battery storage or solar interconnection
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in North Charleston, SC is $98,000 – $125,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
