Our Minneapolis office is growing, and we need a Power Systems Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative electrical & computer engineering group and report to the electrical & computer engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Minneapolis location.
What you’ll do
- Develop relay settings and coordination studies
- Design substation, distribution and protection systems
- Support interconnection studies for renewable generation
- Prepare drawings and specifications for utility projects
- Perform load flow, short circuit and arc flash studies
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with ETAP, PSS/E or SKM
- Knowledge of protective relaying
- Understanding of NEC, IEEE and NERC standards
Nice to have
- Experience with battery storage or solar interconnection
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Minneapolis, MN is $98,000 – $125,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
