We are hiring a Power Systems Engineer to join our electrical & computer engineering team in Chicago. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chicago location.
What you’ll do
- Develop relay settings and coordination studies
- Design substation, distribution and protection systems
- Prepare drawings and specifications for utility projects
- Support interconnection studies for renewable generation
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with ETAP, PSS/E or SKM
- Understanding of NEC, IEEE and NERC standards
Nice to have
- PE license
- Experience with battery storage or solar interconnection
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $104,000 – $133,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
