Petroleum Engineer Intern

The employer is looking for a Petroleum Engineer Intern in Los Angeles, CA. In this role you will gain hands-on experience alongside an experienced petroleum engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Los Angeles office.
What you’ll do
- Prepare economic evaluations for development projects
- Perform reservoir and decline-curve analysis
- Plan and optimize well completions and production
- Coordinate with geoscience and operations teams
- Monitor field performance and recommend workovers
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering
- Experience with reservoir or production engineering
- Familiarity with industry software such as Petrel or ARIES
- Strong economic analysis skills
Nice to have
- Unconventional reservoir experience
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $40 – $47 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
