As a Mechanical Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the mechanical engineering team works. This position is based in Salem, OR. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Salem office.
What you’ll do
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
Nice to have
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Salem, OR is $95,000 – $121,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
