Our Goodyear office is growing, and we need a Mechanical Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative mechanical engineering group and report to the mechanical engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Goodyear location.
What you’ll do
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Goodyear, AZ is $83,000 – $106,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
