The employer is looking for a Mechanical Engineer in Elizabeth, NJ. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Elizabeth location.
What you’ll do
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Working knowledge of GD&T
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Elizabeth, NJ is $101,000 – $129,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
