Our Dallas office is growing, and we need a Mechanical Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative mechanical engineering group and report to the mechanical engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Dallas office.
What you’ll do
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Dallas, TX is $92,000 – $117,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
