Our San Antonio office is growing, and we need a Materials Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative materials engineering group and report to the materials engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our San Antonio location.
What you’ll do
- Select and qualify materials for new product designs
- Support suppliers with process and material issues
- Run mechanical, thermal and microstructural testing
- Write material specifications and test reports
- Perform failure analysis on returned and field components
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Laboratory experience
- Knowledge of metals, polymers or composites
- Strong report writing
Nice to have
- Experience with additive manufacturing
- Graduate degree in materials science
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Antonio, TX is $93,000 – $118,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
