We are hiring a Materials Engineer to join our materials engineering team in Long Beach. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Long Beach location.
What you’ll do
- Write material specifications and test reports
- Perform failure analysis on returned and field components
- Run mechanical, thermal and microstructural testing
- Support suppliers with process and material issues
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of metals, polymers or composites
- Laboratory experience
- Strong report writing
Nice to have
- Experience with additive manufacturing
- Graduate degree in materials science
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Long Beach, CA is $105,000 – $133,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
