The employer is a packaging manufacturer running high-speed production lines across several plants.
Our Philadelphia office is growing, and we need a Manufacturing Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative industrial & manufacturing engineering group and report to the industrial & manufacturing engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Philadelphia location.
What you’ll do
- Lead PFMEAs and root-cause investigations
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Design fixtures, tooling and work cells
- Write work instructions and process documentation
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement
- Strong problem-solving ability
- CAD skills for fixture design
Nice to have
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Experience with automation and robotics
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Philadelphia, PA is $78,000 – $99,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
