The employer is a process manufacturer of food ingredients and nutritional products.
We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to join our industrial & manufacturing engineering team in Paterson. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Paterson office.
What you’ll do
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Support new product introduction on the production floor
- Design fixtures, tooling and work cells
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
- Write work instructions and process documentation
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- CAD skills for fixture design
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement
- Strong problem-solving ability
Nice to have
- Experience with automation and robotics
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Paterson, NJ is $59 – $72 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
