The employer is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in Naperville, IL. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced industrial & manufacturing engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Naperville location.
What you’ll do
- Write work instructions and process documentation
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Lead PFMEAs and root-cause investigations
- Support new product introduction on the production floor
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- CAD skills for fixture design
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement
Nice to have
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Experience with automation and robotics
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Naperville, IL is $53 – $64 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
