The employer is a packaging manufacturer running high-speed production lines across several plants.
The employer is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in Columbus, OH. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced industrial & manufacturing engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Columbus location.
What you’ll do
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
- Write work instructions and process documentation
- Lead PFMEAs and root-cause investigations
- Design fixtures, tooling and work cells
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in a production manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement
- Strong problem-solving ability
Nice to have
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Experience with automation and robotics
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Columbus, OH is $50 – $61 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
