The employer is a packaging manufacturer running high-speed production lines across several plants.
We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to join our industrial & manufacturing engineering team in Buffalo. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Buffalo location.
What you’ll do
- Write work instructions and process documentation
- Support new product introduction on the production floor
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- CAD skills for fixture design
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement
- Experience in a production manufacturing environment
Nice to have
- Experience with automation and robotics
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Buffalo, NY is $58 – $71 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
