Machine Learning Engineer

The employer is a cybersecurity company providing managed detection and response to regulated industries.

Our Anchorage office is growing, and we need a Machine Learning Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative software engineering group and report to the software engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Anchorage office.

What you’ll do

• Build feature pipelines and model monitoring
• Train, evaluate and deploy machine learning models into production services
• Work with data scientists to move prototypes into reliable systems
• Design offline and online experiments to measure model impact
• Optimize model latency and serving cost

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience deploying ML models to production
• Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in a quantitative field
• Experience with large language models or retrieval systems

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Anchorage, AK is $143,000 – $182,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
