As a Lead Mechanical Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the mechanical engineering team works. This position is based in South Fulton, GA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our South Fulton office.
What you’ll do
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in South Fulton, GA is $123,000 – $157,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
