As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the industrial & manufacturing engineering team works. This position is based in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Phoenix office.
What you’ll do
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
- Write work instructions and process documentation
- Support new product introduction on the production floor
- Design fixtures, tooling and work cells
- Lead PFMEAs and root-cause investigations
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement
- CAD skills for fixture design
- Strong problem-solving ability
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with automation and robotics
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Phoenix, AZ is $111,000 – $141,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
