The employer is looking for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer in New York, NY. In this role you will set technical direction alongside an experienced industrial & manufacturing engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our New York location.
What you’ll do
- Write work instructions and process documentation
- Lead PFMEAs and root-cause investigations
- Support new product introduction on the production floor
- Design fixtures, tooling and work cells
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement
- Strong problem-solving ability
- CAD skills for fixture design
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Experience with automation and robotics
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $145,000 – $185,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
