As a Lead Industrial Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the industrial & manufacturing engineering team works. This position is based in Sterling Heights, MI. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Sterling Heights location.
What you’ll do
- Build capacity and staffing models
- Run time studies and set labor standards
- Map value streams and lead kaizen events
- Analyze operational data and recommend improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with layout or simulation software
- Knowledge of lean tools
- Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience with FlexSim or Arena
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Sterling Heights, MI is $113,000 – $143,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
