Lead Industrial Engineer

The employer is a manufacturer of industrial pumps, valves and flow-control equipment.
As a Lead Industrial Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the industrial & manufacturing engineering team works. This position is based in Phoenix, AZ. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Phoenix location.
What you’ll do
- Analyze operational data and recommend improvements
- Build capacity and staffing models
- Run time studies and set labor standards
- Map value streams and lead kaizen events
- Design facility layouts and material flow
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Clear communication with operations teams
- Experience with layout or simulation software
- Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with FlexSim or Arena
- Lean Six Sigma certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Phoenix, AZ is $72 – $88 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
