The employer is looking for a Lead Industrial Engineer in Charlotte, NC. In this role you will set technical direction alongside an experienced industrial & manufacturing engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Charlotte location.
What you’ll do
- Analyze operational data and recommend improvements
- Build capacity and staffing models
- Map value streams and lead kaizen events
- Run time studies and set labor standards
- Design facility layouts and material flow
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills
- Clear communication with operations teams
- Experience with layout or simulation software
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience with FlexSim or Arena
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Charlotte, NC is $111,000 – $141,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
