As a Lead Controls Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the electrical & computer engineering team works. This position is based in Los Angeles, CA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Los Angeles location.
What you’ll do
- Commission equipment on site and train operators
- Integrate robots, vision systems and safety devices
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs for automated equipment
- Design control panels and electrical schematics
- Develop HMI and SCADA screens
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Willingness to travel to job sites
- Experience programming Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with FANUC or ABB robots
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 13849)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $148,000 – $189,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
