The employer is a precision machining and fabrication company serving aerospace and defense customers.
We are hiring an Industrial Engineer to join our industrial & manufacturing engineering team in Paterson. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Paterson location.
What you’ll do
- Build capacity and staffing models
- Analyze operational data and recommend improvements
- Map value streams and lead kaizen events
- Run time studies and set labor standards
- Design facility layouts and material flow
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Clear communication with operations teams
- Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills
- Knowledge of lean tools
Nice to have
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience with FlexSim or Arena
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Paterson, NJ is $58 – $71 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
