The employer is looking for an HVAC Design Engineer in New York, NY. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New York office.
What you’ll do
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare and education buildings
- Model systems and produce construction documents in Revit
- Support construction administration and commissioning
- Select equipment and write specifications
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with load calculation software
- Experience producing construction documents
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and mechanical codes
Nice to have
- Experience with energy modeling in eQUEST or IES
- LEED AP credential
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $106,000 – $134,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
