HVAC Design Engineer Intern

We are hiring an HVAC Design Engineer Intern to join our mechanical engineering team in Huntsville. You will gain hands-on experience on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Huntsville office.
What you’ll do
- Model systems and produce construction documents in Revit
- Select equipment and write specifications
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare and education buildings
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and mechanical codes
- Experience producing construction documents
- Experience with load calculation software
Nice to have
- LEED AP credential
- Experience with energy modeling in eQUEST or IES
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Huntsville, AL is $22 – $26 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
