The employer is looking for an HVAC Design Engineer in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Costa Mesa location.
What you’ll do
- Model systems and produce construction documents in Revit
- Select equipment and write specifications
- Support construction administration and commissioning
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare and education buildings
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong coordination skills
- Experience with load calculation software
- Experience producing construction documents
Nice to have
- Experience with energy modeling in eQUEST or IES
- LEED AP credential
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Costa Mesa, CA is $108,000 – $137,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
