The employer is a software company building workflow and analytics tools for operations teams.
As a Front-End Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Los Angeles, CA. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Los Angeles office.
What you’ll do
- Champion accessibility and usability across the product
- Measure and improve page performance and Core Web Vitals
- Write unit and end-to-end tests for user-facing features
- Build responsive, accessible user interfaces in React and TypeScript
- Translate designs into reusable components and maintain the shared component library
- Work with back-end engineers to define clean API contracts
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Working knowledge of HTML semantics, CSS layout and browser developer tools
- Experience writing automated tests for front-end code
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills
Nice to have
- Experience with WCAG 2.1 AA audits
- Experience with Next.js or server-side rendering
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $89 – $109 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
