Front-End Engineer Intern

As a Front-End Engineer Intern with the employer, you will gain hands-on experience and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our Oklahoma City location.
What you’ll do
- Work with back-end engineers to define clean API contracts
- Measure and improve page performance and Core Web Vitals
- Champion accessibility and usability across the product
- Write unit and end-to-end tests for user-facing features
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills
- Working knowledge of HTML semantics, CSS layout and browser developer tools
- Production experience with React or a comparable framework
Nice to have
- Experience with Next.js or server-side rendering
- Experience with WCAG 2.1 AA audits
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Oklahoma City, OK is $29 – $34 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
