Field Service Engineer Intern

The employer is a manufacturer of industrial pumps, valves and flow-control equipment.
Our Omaha office is growing, and we need a Field Service Engineer Intern who can gain hands-on experience from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative mechanical engineering group and report to the mechanical engineering manager. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our Omaha location.
What you’ll do
- Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades
- Install, commission and service equipment at customer sites
- Document service visits and feed issues back to engineering
- Train customer operators and maintenance staff
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software issues
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Strong customer service skills
- Willingness to travel regionally
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Nice to have
- Experience servicing medical or semiconductor equipment
- Experience with industrial automation equipment
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Omaha, NE is $19 – $22 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
