Field Service Engineer Intern

The employer is a contract manufacturer producing precision metal components and assemblies.
We are hiring a Field Service Engineer Intern to join our mechanical engineering team in Memphis. You will gain hands-on experience on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our Memphis location.
What you’ll do
- Document service visits and feed issues back to engineering
- Install, commission and service equipment at customer sites
- Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades
- Train customer operators and maintenance staff
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software issues
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to travel regionally
- Strong customer service skills
Nice to have
- Experience with industrial automation equipment
- Experience servicing medical or semiconductor equipment
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Memphis, TN is $19 – $22 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
