The employer is looking for an Environmental Engineer in Chicago, IL. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced environmental engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chicago location.
What you’ll do
- Collect and interpret soil, groundwater and air samples
- Plan and run site investigations and remediation projects
- Advise clients on environmental regulations
- Write compliance reports for state and federal agencies
- Prepare air, water and waste permit applications
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong technical writing
- Knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulations
- Field sampling experience
Nice to have
- PE license
- Experience with PFAS investigation or treatment
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $87,000 – $111,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
