Our Newport News office is growing, and we need an Energy Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative energy engineering group and report to the energy engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Newport News location.
What you’ll do
- Conduct energy audits of commercial and industrial facilities
- Run measurement and verification of completed projects
- Design solar PV and battery storage systems
- Write reports and present results to clients
- Model energy-saving measures and calculate payback
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills
- Knowledge of building systems and energy efficiency
- Client-facing communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with incentive programs
- CEM or PE certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Newport News, VA is $86,000 – $110,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
