Embedded Software Engineer Intern

The employer is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer Intern in Goodyear, AZ. In this role you will gain hands-on experience alongside an experienced electrical & computer engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our Goodyear location.
What you’ll do
- Develop firmware in C and C++ for microcontroller-based products
- Write unit and hardware-in-the-loop tests
- Bring up new hardware with the electrical engineering team
- Debug at the board level with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and JTAG
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Hands-on lab debugging experience
- Experience with an RTOS or bare-metal firmware
- Strong C programming skills for resource-constrained systems
Nice to have
- Experience in a regulated industry (medical, automotive, aerospace)
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy or other wireless stacks
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Goodyear, AZ is $31 – $36 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
