Our Boston office is growing, and we need an Embedded Software Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative electrical & computer engineering group and report to the electrical & computer engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Boston location.
What you’ll do
- Write unit and hardware-in-the-loop tests
- Debug at the board level with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and JTAG
- Develop firmware in C and C++ for microcontroller-based products
- Bring up new hardware with the electrical engineering team
- Write device drivers for sensors, communication buses and peripherals
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Hands-on lab debugging experience
- Strong C programming skills for resource-constrained systems
- Experience with an RTOS or bare-metal firmware
Nice to have
- Experience in a regulated industry (medical, automotive, aerospace)
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy or other wireless stacks
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Boston, MA is $142,000 – $180,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
