DevOps Engineer Intern

The employer is a robotics company building autonomous systems for warehouses and agriculture.
Our Richardson office is growing, and we need a DevOps Engineer Intern who can gain hands-on experience from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative software engineering group and report to the software engineering manager. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our Richardson location.
What you’ll do
- Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Take part in an on-call rotation and lead incident reviews
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that let teams ship safely several times a day
- Harden infrastructure and automate security patching
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
- Experience running containerized workloads in production
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills
Nice to have
- Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization
- Experience with service meshes
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Richardson, TX is $32 – $37 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
