As a DevOps Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Chicago office.
What you’ll do
- Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Harden infrastructure and automate security patching
- Operate Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, scaling and cost control
- Set up monitoring, alerting and dashboards for production systems
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience running containerized workloads in production
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills
Nice to have
- Kubernetes certification (CKA or CKAD)
- Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $114,000 – $145,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
