As a Data Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the data engineering team works. This position is based in Kansas City, KS. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Kansas City office.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines into the data warehouse
- Optimize warehouse cost and query performance
- Model data in dbt so analysts and data scientists can rely on it
- Work with stakeholders to turn reporting needs into data products
- Monitor data quality and fix pipeline failures quickly
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Understanding of dimensional data modeling
- Experience with an orchestration tool such as Airflow or Dagster
Nice to have
- Experience with data contracts or data observability tools
- Experience with Spark or Flink
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Kansas City, KS is $109,000 – $139,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
