Data Engineer Intern

Our Irving office is growing, and we need a Data Engineer Intern who can gain hands-on experience from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative data engineering group and report to the data engineering manager. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our Irving location.
What you’ll do
- Work with stakeholders to turn reporting needs into data products
- Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines into the data warehouse
- Optimize warehouse cost and query performance
- Monitor data quality and fix pipeline failures quickly
- Model data in dbt so analysts and data scientists can rely on it
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience with an orchestration tool such as Airflow or Dagster
- Understanding of dimensional data modeling
Nice to have
- Experience with Spark or Flink
- Experience with data contracts or data observability tools
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Irving, TX is $32 – $37 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
