Data Engineer Intern

The employer is looking for a Data Engineer Intern in Dallas, TX. In this role you will gain hands-on experience alongside an experienced data engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Dallas office.
What you’ll do
- Model data in dbt so analysts and data scientists can rely on it
- Optimize warehouse cost and query performance
- Monitor data quality and fix pipeline failures quickly
- Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines into the data warehouse
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience with an orchestration tool such as Airflow or Dagster
- Understanding of dimensional data modeling
Nice to have
- Experience with Spark or Flink
- Experience with data contracts or data observability tools
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Dallas, TX is $32 – $37 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
