Controls Engineer

The employer is looking for a Controls Engineer in New Haven, CT. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced electrical & computer engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our New Haven location.
What you’ll do
- Develop HMI and SCADA screens
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs for automated equipment
- Integrate robots, vision systems and safety devices
- Design control panels and electrical schematics
- Commission equipment on site and train operators
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Willingness to travel to job sites
- Experience programming Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs
Nice to have
- Experience with FANUC or ABB robots
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 13849)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New Haven, CT is $60 – $73 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
