Controls Engineer Intern

We are hiring a Controls Engineer Intern to join our electrical & computer engineering team in Philadelphia. You will gain hands-on experience on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Philadelphia office.
What you’ll do
- Develop HMI and SCADA screens
- Commission equipment on site and train operators
- Design control panels and electrical schematics
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs for automated equipment
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Commissioning experience
- Willingness to travel to job sites
- Ability to read electrical schematics
Nice to have
- Experience with FANUC or ABB robots
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 13849)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Philadelphia, PA is $24 – $29 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
