The employer is looking for a Controls Engineer in Columbus, OH. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced electrical & computer engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Columbus office.
What you’ll do
- Develop HMI and SCADA screens
- Integrate robots, vision systems and safety devices
- Commission equipment on site and train operators
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs for automated equipment
- Design control panels and electrical schematics
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Willingness to travel to job sites
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Experience programming Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs
Nice to have
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 13849)
- Experience with FANUC or ABB robots
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Columbus, OH is $86,000 – $109,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
