We are hiring a Civil Engineer Intern to join our civil engineering team in Los Angeles. You will gain hands-on experience on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Los Angeles office.
What you’ll do
- Produce construction drawings and specifications in Civil 3D
- Prepare site, grading, utility and drainage designs for land development projects
- Coordinate with municipal reviewers and secure permits
- Prepare stormwater reports and calculations
- Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Strong technical writing skills
- Ability to manage several projects at once
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Nice to have
- Experience with HEC-RAS or SWMM
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $29 – $34 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
